Kno One has helped to reimagine the role of portrait photography. Using they’re passion for portraiture to explore, discover, and deepen our individual and collective understandings of identity. They have also shown specific interest in representations of masculinity, visually exploring and challenging different expressions of manhood and how they shift and change between subjects.
Despite only shooting professionally for 5 years, Kno One’s extensive background in graphic design, branding, and fashion design have allowed their work to span the globe. From studios at home in London, to collaborating with artists in Accra, Ghana, Kno one has established themselves as an intercontinental creative who is eager to learn from and engage with the culture around them. They have traveled internationally across Europe, America and Africa to direct and shoot magazine covers for artists including London’s very own KSI, Canada-born Daniel Caesar, as well as SAINt JHN and 6lack; not only proving their versatility, but also their profound ability to adapt to the creative needs of whoever they work with.
A national award-winning graphic designer, creative director, and overall visionary: Scott Butler is a multi-faceted creative with an ongoing passion for pushing the norm, from behind the lens.
